Detailed Description

A set of cones with different opening angles but the same axis and apexes.

EGS_ConeSet models a set of cones with the same apex and axis but different opening angles.

It is defined via the following set of keys

apex = Ox, Oy, Oz     # Position of the cone apex

flag = 0 or 1 or 2

The meaning of the flag variable is as follows: If set to 0, only the cones below the apex are considered (the term "below" means that the scalar product $\vec{a} \cdot (\vec{x} - \vec{x}_0)$ is greater than zero for points $\vec{x}$ "below" the apex, where $\vec{a}$ is the cone axis and $\vec{x}_0$ the cone apex). In this case a set of $N$ cones defines a geometry with $N$ regions with the region within the inner-most cone (the cone with the smallest opening angle) being region zero. If set to 1, the $N$ cones "below" and $N$ cones "above" the apex are considered to form a geometry with $2 N$ regions where regions $0,1,...,N-1$ are below the apex and regions $N+1, N+2, ..., 2 N$ are the region indices for the cones above the apex. If flag is set 2, the geometry will have $2 N + 1$ regions with the region outside of the cone with the largest opening angle having index $N$. An example for the use of an EGS_ConeSet is found in the cones.geom example geometry file.
