An extended shape.
An extended shape is a shape that takes a random point from another shape and then adds to the z-component of the position vector, where is picked uniformly between , which are user inputs. Using this type of shape it is possible to obtain e.g. a cylindrical shape from a circle, a box from a rectangle, a prism from a polygon, etc. An extended shape is defined using
